These 8 Vancouver Restaurants Were Ranked The Best In All Of Canada

Brb, making resos right now.

They say that you could live in New York for ten years, eat at a new restaurant every single day, and still not have eaten your way through the city. Now don't quote me on this, but Vancouver has so many restaurants left and right, I'm quite certain that this would hold true for our city as well.

Not only is Vancouver home to some of the freshest produce and seafood, it is also a hot spot for many renown chefs and culinary geniuses. While there are thousands of restaurants in Vancouver, not all restaurants are made equal.

Open Table, one of Canada's largest online restaurant reservation services, has rounded up the country's top 100 restaurants according to diners. They collected the reviews of over 500,000 customers and here are the ones in Vancouver that ranked the top!

Why you should go: Blue Water Cafe is a local tried and true seafood favourite. Not only is the seafood always fresh and juicy, this fancy and luxurious location is perfect for special occasions. We recommend the seafood tower as well as something from the raw bar that consists of elevated sushi dishes.

Why you should go: A new addition to the up-scale Yaletown food scene is the hip Pacific Northwest Mexican fusion restaurant, Fayuca. While it may be new, it has already won the hearts of many foodies in the city. Serving unique west coast twists on traditional Mexican cuisine, Fayuca is an exotic modern and traditional experience. ********* CHECK

Why you should go: A rustic Italian affair with an upscale flair, Osteria Savio Volpe is taking traditional Italian dishes to a whole new level. Their pasta is freshly made every day by the loving hands of their chefs and their meats are smoked in their in-house wood-fired oven. Honest and real flavours are what Savio Volpe is all about.

Washington Avenue Grill

Where: #5-15782 Marine Dr // White Rock

Why you should go: If you're not here for Washington Avenue Grill's breathtaking view of Semiahmoo Bay, then you're definitely here for their drool-worthy Pacific Northwest cuisine. The homey and rustic yet romantic environment makes for a great backdrop to their beautiful and delicious dishes.

Joe Fortes Seafood & Chop House

Where: 777 Thurlow St // Downtown

Why you should go: Joe Fortes is most definitely one of the golden girls of Vancouver's food scene. With nearly 30 years of history, this seafood and chop house has definitely earned it's way to one of the top spots in Canada. My favourite is their lobster rolls, truffle fries, and their oh-so-epic seafood tower. Oh, yes, and of course their in-house lobster oil.

Why you should go: As soon as you step through the doors of Nightingale, you'll be transported to a whimsical land of birds, magic, and amazing food.
