The talented person behind the restaurant is Umberto Menghi, who is a Italian chef in Vancouver. He was born in Pontedera, Tuscany and has trained and worked in Rome, London and Paris before moving to Canada.
Giardino will transport you to a traditional Tuscan adventure through both its food and atmosphere. The restaurant's dishes are full of the rich flavours that are a hallmark of Italian cuisine. You can try traditional Italian food such as pasta, risotto, Tuscan-style chicken and burrata. There are also a wide range of seafood dishes that are flavorful like authentic Mediterranean cuisine is.
Not only is the food authentically Italian, but so is the beautiful patio and courtyard space. Giardino boasts a Florentine-styled courtyard as well as a sidewalk patio and also makes use ofwarm colours and wooden beams. The space brings remenants of Tuscany, Italy to Vancouver, B.C.
