Nothing beats visiting a field of flowers in full bloom during springtime in British Columbia - where we have some of the best florals around!
Did you know that there is an entire field of rows and rows of lavender just a short two hours away from Downtown Vancouver? With lavender flowers as far as the eye can see, it is a beautiful place to take a day trip to on a sunny day.
Sacred Mountain Lavender is a boutique lavender farm nestled on the edge of the sacred Mount Tuam - near Fulford Harbour on Salt Spring Island.
There are as many as 60 varieties of lavender at Sacred Mountain across two acres, which are grown for lavender buds, bunches, and distilling their own essential oils.
There are tours offered at the farm - as well as a gift shop featuring lavender for purchase, both in its plant form and in lotions and cooking products! You will be able to view all aspects of lavender cultivation and processing including propagation, harvesting, drying, and distillation process for essential oils!
Established in 2001, Sacred Mountain is currently the only lavender farm on the island!
