10 Ways To Make Extra Money In Vancouver
Cash rules eveything around me.
Ranked the most expensive city in North America, having a second or even a third job in Vancouver is almost necessary. Vancouver is full of opportunities and if you're willing to get a little creative, you're sure to find a way to make some extra dough on the side. We're a city that prides itself on buying local, so why not turn those jewelry making skills into a business!
Some of these jobs may be a bit unconventional, but the fact is that people in Vancouver are making a killing off of them and now is the time to get in on the action! Here are 10 ways to make a little extra cash in Vancouver.
1. Become A Movie Extra
If you have a flexible schedule and don't mind getting paid to spend most of your day sitting around and socializing, then I highly recommend you sign up with one of Vancouver's many background agencies. Did I mention free craft services all day?
2. Start Your Own Clothing Line
Pretty sure we have all had the desire to start our own clothing line at one point in our lives. Well, now you can. Especially because local Vancouver company Design Your Own Shirt makes it easy to upload your designs on their website and choose the style and quantities you want to order.
3. Rent You Apartment On AirBnb
This is a great way to make a little cash if you are headed out of town for a few days and the best part is, tt's FREE to sign up. All you need are some pictures of your apartment and a nice little description of how great your space is. You set the rate but AirBnB.com will make suggestions depending on the season.

6. Become A Mystery Shopper
I can hear the screams of thousands of Vancouver girls as they read this. Yes it's true, you can be paid to shop. There's a bit of a catch, you have to pay $34 to register but after that you're on your way to free food, entertainment and upwards of $28/hour to shop. Register here
7. Temporary Labour
Vancouver has a number of temporary labour staffing offices. Simply show up at 6am ready to work with a piece of ID and you'll be on a job site later that day.
8. Rent Your Parking Space
If your apartment has an unused parking space that you aren't already renting out, you are missing out on some serious extra cash. Parking spaces downtown go for $300+ a month on Craigslist.com
