The summer is getting hotter and nicer. With all this great weather we've been having recently, you are probably dying to get out on the water. Just one problem – you don't have a boat and it's surely too expensive to rent for the day. Think again! Renting a boat in Vancouver is actually quite affordable if you and your friends get together and share the cost.
So with the sun shining, and the harbour smooth as glass, it's about time you make your way down to the water's edge and rent your crew a boat for the day! You'll be able to cruise around the bay, have your own little boat party by the beach, go water skiing, and so much more.
What are you waiting for? Vancouver summers don't last forever so enjoy it while you can!

2. Mac Sailing // 1300 Discovery St
If you are planning on boating, but it looks a little windy, you can always try sailing! There is a pretty large rental fleet here, but the Hobie looks the most fun for a group of 4! It'll end up costing $16.25 per person per hour.
3. Boatwyze // Rental by owner
21 foot powerboat – Features include a wakeboard tower, swim platform, stereo, bathroom and cabin. The boat is based in Langley, but can be delivered to a boat launch of your choosing. The capacity is 6, meaning it'll only cost $75 per person for the entire day. Cheaper rates when you rent for a week at a time.
32 foot powerboat – If you are looking for a bigger boat to party on with your friends all day, this is a super good deal. Features include a BBQ, swim ladder, kitchen, bed, bathroom, and fishing gear. The capacity is 6 people, which will end up running $58 per person for the entire day.
4. Coal Harbour Boat Rentals // 1525 Coal Harbour Quay
This is the number one boat rental company in downtown Vancouver. They offer 3 boats to choose from, and offer a 3 hour plus discounted rate. Their best boat is an 18 foot powerboat with an open bow and stereo. The driver of the boat must be 18 years old with a valid drivers license. If you have a party of 6, it will cost about $13 per person per hour. They also offer two other boats for rent with similar deals.
5. Vancouver Water Adventures // 1812 Boatlift Lane
You've seen them ripping around while you sit on the beach. If you want a chance to try it for yourself, jet ski rentals aren't too expensive. This could be a really cool way to explore some of BC's shoreline while flying off waves and feeling the splash of water on your face. They offer several packages, but for one hour of tandem jet skiing, it will cost $62.50 per person. They also offer an all day (8 hour) deal, which will breakdown to only costing $37.50 per person per hour. Riders must be 19 years old to sign the waiver or have parental permission. Have fun in the sun and stay safe on the water!
