Canada is known for being a country that is full of friendly people. But apparently it's not only the people that are friendly – it's the animals too!
In Canadian news, an eagle was spotted chilling with a fisherman on his boat. Derril McKenzie was just minding his own business and enjoying some fishing with his friend on Gardom Lake last Friday, August 31st, when he got a surprise visitor on his boat – none other than a giant bald eagle!
He shared the insane photos on a Facebook group called Thompson Okanagan Fishing and, not surprisingly, the pictures blew up on social media. Since posting, the photos already have 3,500 shares and over 4,000 likes. Dozens of people expressed their awe in the comments.
McKenzie said on his Facebook post that not only did the eagle visit the boat, it also ended up chilling on his head and shoulders. The experience resulted in talon holes in McKenzie's shirt and a bite on his arm. The fisherman described it as "a life experience for sure".
Well, it's definitely not every day that you get an up-close encounter with a wild animal – especially an eagle! But then again, there have been some crazy animal meet and greets in Canada; so you never know what animal could be spotted chilling with humans next.
