It's back! The Annual Rogers Santa Claus Parade is around the corner yet again. One of downtown Vancouver's most festive events, the parade has more than 3,500 participants. This year's parade will feature more than 65 festival floats, community groups and marching bands.
The festivities begin at 10am on Sunday December 4th, at the 'Coast Capital Savings Christmas Square' (800 block of Robson Street, between Howe and Hornby). The square will include a Food Bank drop-off zone, so be sure to drop by and donate some much-needed items.
Before the parade, there will be gingerbread decorating, face painting, a 'Letters to Santa' station, and multiple musical and dance performances. The parade itself starts at 12pm at Georgia and Broughton, will continue East along Georgia, turn South on Howe, and eventually end up at Howe and Smith. After the parade, Santa will be available for photos at the Robson Square Ice Rink.
Come kick off December and get in the holiday spirit this December 4th. Regardless of whether or not you celebrate Christmas, there will be good cheer, silly costumes and an awesome cause to support.
