You're not the only one surprised by this sudden snowfall. Vancouverites were surprised by snow earlier this week, and Environment Canada is warning you now, that there will be snow in Vancouver this weekend! Be prepared for snowfall tomorrow. Environment Canada expects Friday, February 23rd to begin with flurries of snow.
At 5:05 AM PST Thursday, February 22nd, Environment Canada issued a special weather statement in effect for the city of Vancouver, Metro Vancouver and the North Shore - which includes Burnaby, New Westminster, Surrey, Langley, Richmond, Delta, West Vancouver and North Vancouver.
Snowfall will begin early on Friday morning, during the afternoon the snow will likely mix with rain. Snowfall amounts will vary from 5 to 10 CM. So, be careful when driving and be aware of slippery conditions!
