Many Canadians across the country depend heavily on their cars to travel to and from work, which means that Canadians are used to spending a lot of cash on gas to get from point A to point B.
In Vancouver, we've become used to the annoying truth that gas prices in our city have been increasing dramatically in the recent past. Just one month ago, Narcity reported that Vancouver has the most expensive gas in all of Canada! So, you'll be excited to hear that there will be a significant drop in gas prices in Metro Vancouver tomorrow.
According to Dan McTeague, the owner and founder of GasBuddy tweeted this morning that Vancouver and the Lower Mainland will experience a 4 cents drop in gas prices on Wednesday, December 12th. According to McTeague, this means that the highest prices in Vancouver will be 131.9 cents per litre!
If you didn't already know, GasBuddy is a known website and app used to find gas prices in your local area. With the app, you can take a look at the current gas prices in your area to find the best deals!
Not only that, McTeague and the GasBuddy team see trends in gas prices and share that information with locals, just like he did today.
Vancouver has been struggling with increasing gas prices for some time. Eight months ago, Narcity reported that Vancouver had the highest gas prices in all of North America. At that time, Vancouver prices reached 150.9 cents per litre! Just a few short weeks later, gas prices in the area peaked at 158.9 cents per litre.
If I were you, I'd hold off on filling up today and fill up your tank tomorrow once the gas prices drop in the area.
