It's sudden, but it's happening. Our beloved Chill Winston in the beautiful Gastown is closing it's doors. After an incredible 11 years of running and catering to the needs of thirsty and hungry Vancouverites, Chill Winston is saying goodbye.
Known for their uniquely curated farm-to-table menu, masterful hand-crafted cocktail drinks, and their lit late nights at their basement live music lounge, Chill Winston plans on closing the book on October 1 this year.
According to sources, owners Sonia Bozzi and Jordan Stewart have decided to sell the space due to significant increases in food and renting costs.
Chill Winston's current location has been bought by Joey Restaurant Group, in which they have future plans to build a Local Public Eatery, such as one located in Kitsilano.
So Vancouver, you know what this means. This summer is your last chance to go and enjoy their super cute patio with the charming views of Gastown, and your last chance to get your favourite Spooning Jesus and Pick-Me-Up Tini.
If you're looking for more than just happy hour drinks, they have the most incredible menu you've ever seen. From dishes like the Beast Plank to the Steak Plank, the talented hands that made these dishes will be missed.
The silver lining to all of this is that their basement bar lounge, Guilt & Co. will remain up and bumpin'. You can even soon expect to find your familiar Chill Winston-inspired favourites, such as their Meat & Cheese Plank. With local live music every night, and a great crowd, you can't say your goodbyes to Chill without really saying goodbye.
But it isn't over yet! The core team at Chill Winston is currently searching for a new space to serve the public with a new concept and a new name in the future.
It's time to celebrate their last summer in the city! Chill Winston is located at 3 Alexander St, open daily from 11:30AM to 1AM.
