Intense Dashcam Video Shows Semi-Truck Flipping Into Oncoming Traffic In BC (VIDEO)
The terrifying dashcam footage is now being used as art of the investigation.
Intense dashcam footage has been released of a shocking accident that took place over the weekend. The footage was originally posted on Reddit and is now steadily going viral. The dashcam video shows a large semi-truck flipping and crashing into oncoming traffic in Abbotsford, BC. According to the post by Frost92, this accident took place on Saturday, February 9, in Abbotsford.
The dashcam footage shows an incredibly large semi-truck with trailers attached swerving and hoping the meridian. In the video, you can tell the light was yellow at the time the semi decides to cross the intersection. In the video, you can clearly see the semi entering the intersection and swerving to avoid a truck turning left. The semi then goes into the oncoming traffic lane where it proceeds to tip over on its side.
Abbotsford Police told Narcity that the accident involved five vehicles. The collision took place at the intersection of Sumas Way at Lonzo Road near the westbound entrance on Highway 1. The intersection was closed while the investigation was underway.

Police have told Narcity that only minor injuries were reported despite the shocking reality. Investigators are continuing to investigate the exact cause of the accident. They are also aware of the dashcam footage that has surfaced and they're using it as a part of the investigation.

The video on Reddit has over 900 comments. Most people can not believe that the severity of the accident, while others are thankful that the vehicles were involved were large otherwise this could have had an alternative ending.

According to an interview conducted by The Abbotsford News, the driver of the SUV who took the dashcam footage is in shock as he thought he was going to die. While he said he is physically doing well, he is still recovering from the mental shock of the incident.
