After Riverdale actor Luke Perry died from a stroke earlier this week, the CW show stopped production entirely. Now, a few days after his death, Riverdale has started production again in Vancouver for the first time since Luke Perry's death. It was confirmed to Narcity that Riverdale production trucks were spotted filming at John Oliver Secondary on Friday, March 8.
Production for The CW series Riverdale was halted this week after Luke Perry passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 4. He played Archie's father, Fred Andrews on the show. The show stopped filming on Monday to give the cast and crew some time to mourn, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Since then, cast and crew haven't been seen filming in Vancouver, BC, which is where the show is filmed. Today, four days after the passing of Perry, Riverdale has resumed production again.
Riverdale was spotted filming at John Oliver Secondary today, according to What's Filming. This high school located in Vancouver is only one of the many locations frequently used for shooting the show's scenes at Riverdale High. For instance, the scene in the first season when Veronica shows up Cheryl during a cheerleading scene is filmed in the gym of John Oliver Secondary.

John Oliver Secondary staff also confirmed to Narcity that they believe production was taking place at the school today since Riverdale's filming trucks are set up at the school.
Many Riverdale stars and crew have been sending their condolences to Luke Perry and his family. The creator of the CW show, Roberto Aguirre Sacasa, also announced in a tweet earlier this week that the latest Riverdale episode that aired this past Wednesday on March 6 was dedicated to the actor, and so would all episodes going forward.
Going through pictures on my way to set. From the early days. With Luke in the middle. Our heart, always. Tonight’s episode of #Riverdale finds Fred doing what he does best--helping Archie. It is dedicated to Luke, as all episodes will be for the rest of our run. 💔❤️🏆 pic.twitter.com/Nx8iCFBoMe— RobertoAguirreSacasa (@WriterRAS) March 6, 2019
