If you went out this weekend for New Year's, you know how much you were probably regretting your plans because of the intense snowfall that happened on Saturday. And if you didn't go out, it was probably because of the snow.
Though the city did respond quickly with shoveling and salting the main roads, thousands of side streets and neighbourhood roads remained unsalted and extremely icy.
Side streets got so icy in the city that some Vancouverites even started ice-skating on them! Our roads have turned into full on ice-rinks!
For some of our neighbours, the ice on the roads have gotten up to 3 inches thick!
Becareful out there friends.
