There Are Over 100 Kittens At This Canadian Shelter And They're Looking For Locals To Adopt
The BC SPCA is looking for people to adopt one of their many kittens.
If you're a cat person and looking for a new furry friend, you're in luck. The BC SPCA in Penticton has over 100 kittens right now in their care and are looking for people to adopt.
The shelter has been overwhelmed with the high amount of cats and are looking for owners. This influx of kittens came after one owner brought in 111 kittens and cats, on top of the 65 cats that were brought to the shelter just two weeks ago from another person.
If you want to do some good and get a cute new animal friend, this is the perfect chance. "This is always a busy time of year for cats and kittens in our shelters but this year we are in a situation where our branches right across B.C. are at maximum capacity for cats, with waiting lists," says Marcie Moriarty, the BC SPCA chief prevention and enforcement officer, in a news release.
“We are in urgent need of donations to help off-set the extra medical and sheltering costs, and we encourage anyone who is thinking about adopting a cat to please consider one of the wonderful cats and kittens in our care.”
