Calling all Harry Potter fans – aka, everyone because who doesn't love Harry Potter? A Harry Potter-themed beer festival is happening this spring and it's just a road trip away from BC. The whole thing sounds absolutely incredible, so you definitely do not want to miss this. Round up your crew because it's time to go on a magical road trip to Seattle, Washington or even Portland, Oregon!
A Harry Potter-themed beer festival called 'Wizards and Witches Beer Festival' is coming to cities across the United States this spring. Lucky for us Canadians, the two closest stops are only a few hours away by car.
The festival will be hitting up both Seattle and Washington, alongside seven other cities: Denver, Portland, San Diego, Seattle, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Indianapolis, Louisville, and Austin this spring 2019.
Seattle is only around three-hour drive from Vancouver, and Portland is just a little more at five hours so this festival is the perfect excuse for a romantic road trip with your boyfriend or a fun getaway with your friends.
The Wizards and Witches Beer Festival will be coming to downtown Seattle on March 1, 2019, from 6:30 PM to 10 PM. "Join us for our Wizards and Witches Beer Festival as we transform the Historic Block 41 in Downtown Seattle into a wizarding world of wonders complete with magic, debauchery and mischief," says the organizers on the event page.
For Portland, the beer festival is taking place on February 16, 2019, also from 6:30 PM to 10 PM. Historic Castaway in Downtown Portland will be transformed into a Harry Potter-themed wonderland.
The event is adults only and is 21+. Tickets to the Wizards and Witches Beer Festival cost $35, and you're going to want to buy them as soon as possible, because this discounted rate is only available until the end of today, February 5. Starting tomorrow, ticket prices will go up. You can get tickets on Eventbrite.
Based on the event description, the Wizards and Witches Beer Festival sounds like it will totally be a magical and wild time. There will be tastings of more than 20 winter, pumpkin, and holiday beers, such as their Adult Butterscotch Beer – if it tastes anything like butterbeer, we know it'll be good.
This event will also be Instaworthy because there will be different magic-themed photo ops and each venue will be magically transformed into the Hogwarts Great Hall, Diagon Alley, and the Leaky Cauldron. There's also going to be food, drinks, and even live music from the Sorceress Sisters and DJ Merlin.
