Summer is full of amazing festivals and concerts, but they definitely do not make it easy on your wallet. Fortunately, Vancouver's got your back and there are some free concerts as well this season.
Street parties are frequent during the summer in the city, but they don't always come with several free concerts. Cue Khatsahlano Street Party, which is the largest free music and arts festival in Vancouver.
Khatsahlano Street Party is an annual event that brings music, arts and festival fun to the Kitsilano neighbourhood of Vancouver. The event first started in 2011. There are multiple stages and over 50 of Vancouver’s local musicians will be performing.
This year, Bif Naked, Frazey Ford, Slow and Leeroy Stagger will be among the many local musicians gracing the stage. In previous years, artists like The Zolas, We Are The City and Hannah Georgas have performed at Khatsahlano.
Aside from free concerts, there will also be tons of food options, outdoor patios, giveaways, activities, and even beer gardens. So there will be several different ways to have fun.
Khatsahlano will take place on Saturday, July 7 from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm. The street party spans over an astounding 10 blocks and will take place from Burrard Street to MacDonald Street on West 4th Avenue. For more information, visit their website here.
