This summer has been especially bad for road accidents in Canada and it is a trend that doesn't seem to be ending anytime soon. Yesterday, there was a multi-vehicle crash in Toronto that ended up with a car on someone's front patio and it's happened again today on the other side of the country.
Surrey RCMP in British Columbia responded to a car accident involving a Mercedes S-Class vehicle on Monday night. The car was seen speeding down the street filled with children and people, before crashing into the garage of a nearby home.
The RCMP told a local publication, Surrey Now Leader, that after police tried to pull the vehicle over for speeding along 128th Street, the Mercedes shot off and then crashed into a home on 67A Ave in Surrey, BC.
The witnesses on the scene said that two people fled from the car on foot and the Surrey police have confirmed that one person has been arrested. The car burst into flames after colliding with the garage.
This car looks like a Mercedes S-Class Sedan, which ranges between $106,000 and $124,000. Considering how much a car like this costs, it's wild to think about trashing it.
Police are still looking for the other person involved in the crash and are asking any witnesses to contact them. You can call the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502, Crime Stoppers for anonymous tips at 1-800-222-8477
