If you're looking for a way to warm up this winter, you've come to the right article. Hot pot is a beloved and delicious Chinese meal that can warm up your insides on a cold Canadian winter night. Just in time for winter, a super popular hot pot chain that is based in China is opening their first ever Canadian location.
It was founded in Sichuan in China 24 years ago in 1994 and has since expanded internationally. There are currently over 300 restaurants in countries such as the United States, South Korea, and Japan.
The first ever Canadian Haidilao will be opening in Metro Vancouver in mid-December. While there isn't an exact date available yet, it will be located in Richmond at 200–5890 Number 3 Road.
You'll be able to get there conveniently with public transit because Haidilao will easily be walking distance from the Richmond-Brighouse Canada Line station.
Haidilao Canada has said that 150 employees are currently being trained for their opening, according to The Georgia Straight. The hot pot chain's menu features a variety of dishes, which includes but is not limited to, various meats, fish balls, veggies, and spicy broths. Some ingredients will be locally sourced and others will be imported.
According to the company website, the hot pot establishment is "dedicated to fulfilling the perfect integration of traditional authentic Sichuan style hot pot with modern trendy dining habit, delivering the healthy hot pot catering culture to food lovers worldwide".
