This Tropical Indoor Dome In Vancouver Is Transforming Into A Winter Wonderland This Month

Holiday Heights is returning to the Bloedel Conservatory in Vancouver for the 2018/2019 holiday season.

If you love the tropics but also love the holidays, there's a Christmas event happening in Vancouver BC that may be perfect for you. If you don't want to travel to Hawaii or the Bahamas for Christmas, here's another way to have a tropical holiday vacation right in your own city.

The Bloedel Conservatory in Vancouver is transforming into a holiday heaven for Christmas this year. The indoor tropical dome will become a winter wonderland starting on December 14th, 2018.

Inside the Bloedel Conservatory, for the Christmas season, there will be tons of twinkling lights put up and even holiday plant displays. There is also festive music to get you into the holiday spirit.

Besides the holiday festivities, there will also be 150 free-flying tropical birds around the indoor tropical dome and lush garden greenery to explore. You'll be able to take cute Instagram photos at all the different photo ops.

If you're looking to save some money for your holiday shopping or tropical vacation away from the city, Holiday Heights at the Bloedel Conservatory is the perfect holiday activity for you. 

Admission only costs $6.50 for adults and $4.35 for children and seniors. The event organizers call it "one of the most affordable indoor holiday events in the city". You can buy tickets at the gate.

Holiday Heights at the Bloedel Conservatory runs from December 14th to January 6th. The dome is open every day except for December 25th, from 10 AM to 9 PM. Bloedel Conservatory is located in Queen Elizabeth Park at 4600 Cambie, Vancouver.
