This Video Captures An Angry And Racist Exchange On Vancouver's Transit
Two people did not have a good day on the Vancouver bus.
Canadians generally get a pretty good grade when it comes to respecting one another's culture and language.
However video posted on YouTube yesterday serves as a reminder that not everyone in Canada is as tolerant as most of the country.
The video captures a racist exchange on a Vancouver bus between two riders.
Unfortunately, the video doesn’t show exactly what happened to cause tempers to flare, but what it does capture can be described as some very angry bus passengers, one of whom uses racist language.
A woman in pink seems concerned that some passengers on the bus are making fun of someone else in a foreign language.
The woman wearing pink tells the passenger who can be heard in the video speaking a foreign language to “go back to your country.”
The exchange continues between the pair with the foreign language speaker asking the woman in pink “you want to threaten me?”
“How am I threatening you? You guys need to stop talking your language,” the woman in pink replies.
The person filming can be heard telling the woman in pink that people in Canada are allowed to speak whatever language they want.
“I didn’t say you can’t talk your language, I said you can’t put people down in your language,” the woman in pink replies.
