As of today you will no longer be able to smoke E-cigarettes and vapes in public places in BC without the risk of a potential fine.

The same smoking laws that are in place for cigarettes with be applied to the electronic versions as well.

E-cigarettes and vapes are now banned from workplaces, schools and restaurants and will only be allowed in designated areas, and at least 6 meters from a doorway. Just like regular cigarettes.

The law was implemented in an effort to discourage young people in BC from smoking tobacco. Retailers will also be required to check IDs of those buying the E-cigarettes to ensure they are 19+.
