Chilliwack Tulip Festival just announced their opening dates for the season today on Thursday, March 28 and we could not be more excited! This epic festival will make its return on April 10, 2019, and run all the way until May 5, 2019, with the possibility for an extended opening past that date depending on whether the flowers are still in bloom.
The festival is located just an hour from Vancouver, BC, and is always a hit among locals and visitors. You definitely do not want to miss your chance to get one of, if not the, prettiest swing views you've ever seen!
Not only has the festival finally revealed their opening dates, but they have also released tickets! You can now secure your spot and buy your ticket to the festival online on their website.
The Chilliwack Tulip Festival is the oldest and biggest tulip festival in all of Western Canada! The tulip fields are home to a whopping 6.5 million tulips and over 30 different varieties of the flower.
On top of this, they also have three acres of speciality double daffodils in several varieties and another two acres of hyacinths, in 10 varieties. In other words, this place is a magical dream come true.

If you want to see the flowers in full bloom, the Chilliwack Tulip Festival recommends visiting after April 18. If you can't wait until then, the festival opens on April 10 and is offering discounted tickets during the early bloom.
Tickets cost $7 for adults until April 18 and increase to $10 after on April 19 for the rest of the season. If one tulip visit isn't enough, you can also get a full season pass for $45.
The Chilliwack Tulip Festival is located at 41310 Yale Road in Chilliwack, BC. It is only around an hour drive from Vancouver on Highway 1. There is also free parking available on site.
The festival continues to be a huge success every year. "People have been pouring in from as far away as South Asia and Europe as well as closer to home from the US, Alberta and the Okanagan, just to get a glimpse of our terrain of tulips," says Chilliwack Tulip Festival on their website.
