The perfect start to the holiday season.

Christmas Market at Maan Farms

Where: 790 McKenzie Rd // Abbotsford

via @maanfarms

Price: Free!

Why you should go: Well, 1. It's free entry 2. There's wine tasting. Isn't that enough reason? If not, the 3rd Annual Christmas Market at Maan Farms will have over 50 local vendors, a gift wrapping station, tons of authentic indian food, wine tasting and sampling from the main kitchen. You can buy all of your stocking stuffers at this Christmas Market and you can try a ton of food!

Oh, Christmas Tree Farm

Where: 21858 Maxwell Cres // Langley

via @julsmacrae

Price: Varies depending on tree

Why you should go: It's the perfect time to grab your family's Christmas tree! It's not super early, so your tree will last till Christmas and it's still early enough that there will be a great selection of trees at the farm! It's the worst feeling when you wait too long to go grab your Christmas tree and all the best ones are gone. You don't want to end up with a Charlie Brown Christmas tree, do ya? Grab your strongest friend or your whole crew because you'll need a team to chop down your tree and carry it back to your car! Happy tree hunting!

Lights of Hope at St. Paul's Hospital

Where: 1081 Burrard St // Vancouver

via @nunusue

Why you should go: This annual light display takes several weeks and a ton of volunteers to put up. St. Paul's Hospital has lit up every year for the past two decades to show support and raise funds for patients at the hospital. This incredible display is built with over 100,000 bulbs and hundreds of sponsored stars. You can make a donation on their website.
