8 Restaurants In Vancouver With Patios And The Most Amazing Views

The best patios in Vancouver if you want unreal views.

Vancouver summers are the best summers. We've got the most gorgeous views of lofty mountains and vast open oceans, as well as the most prime weather that's just right. What else could be better? Summers in Vancouver spent drinking on patios to take in these views, of course.

Though summer's just begun, I hate to remind you that our city only gets about 90 days of sunshine, so cherish them! Spend a Saturday afternoon bathing in sunlight, enjoying Vancouver's beauty, while sipping on your favourite drink. While there are many places to do that, here are some of our favourite spots:

Dockside Restaurant

Where: 1253 Johnston St // Granville Island

Luxurious lounge chairs, a modern gazebo, boozed up drinks, and a view that looks out to the stunning False Creek... sounds like Dockside to me. Voted as Vancouver's Best Patio Of The Year for five years in a row, you know you can't go wrong with this spot.

It may seem a little touristy but sometimes you've got to be a tourist in your own city to experience some of the coolest things. Top of Vancouver has incredible views of the city from 553 ft. in the sky. Come for a drink, stay for the view.

Located right on the waterfront of the Lonsdale Quay Pier is Pier 7 Restuarant and Bar's open patio is the place to be. You can slowly sip on a glass of Chardonnay as you take in the stunning skyline of downtown.

The Sandbar

Where: 1535 Johnston St // Granville Island

Tucked just beneath Granville Bridge is one of Granville Island's favourite gems, The Sandbar. This spot serves up amazing fresh seafood, an unbeatable view and you can even get wine for $5 during happy hour -- that's a win, win, win in my books!

Joe Fortes

Where: 777 Thurlow St // Downtown

Joe Fortes is without fail a summer staple. Their seafood is some of the best in the city, their signature sangria is well... dangerous (to say the least), and their patio even has its own private garden, need I say more?

The Beach House

Where: 150 25th St // Dundarave

West Vancouver might be a bit of a trek for most Vancouverites, but the views are so worth it. Head on out to The Beachouse at Dundarave Pier for sprawling ocean views in a secluded area. Their patio has a cozy and intimate atmosphere and even gets lit up with tiki lights at night.

The Teahouse

Where: 7501 Stanley Park Dr // Stanley Park

Who doesn't love basking in the sun at Stanley Park? After a breezy bike session along the seawall, you should definitely visit The Teahouse for a drink and their garden patio with gorgeous views.
