A Magical Lantern Garden Festival Is Coming To Vancouver This Month

Twinkling lights and dazzling lanterns.

As you may know, February is huge for many Asian cultures, as it is a time dedicated to celebrating the Lunar New Year. This year at Vancouver's iconic traditional Chinese garden, they will be ringing in the Asian New Year with thousands of lights and lanterns.

On February 16, Dr. Sun Yat Sen Chinese Classical Garden will be hosting the Lanterns In The Garden event in celebration of the Yuan Xiao Festival. The garden will be completely illuminated with twinkling lights and glimmering lanterns (sound very Instagrammable to me).

There will be authentic Chinese delicacies, a variety traditional performances each week, music, tons of giveaways, and of course photo ops for days among the dazzling lights and themed lanterns.

Celebrate Chinese New Year with your family, your friends, and/or your bae this year and bring them to what will become Vancouver's favourite Lunar celebration.

Lanterns In The Garden will be open each weekend from February 16 to March 4. Tickets cost $15 per adult and are available for purchase on their website.
