World Famous Hot Pot Chain Haidilao Is Coming To Vancouver For The First Time

One of the most popular hot pot chains in the world is bringing its first location to Vancouver this year. Haidilao, a hot pot restaurant from China, will open its first Canadian location in Richmond. A specific opening date has not been set yet, so stay tuned for updates.

A Huge Boozy Glow-In-The-Dark Ball Pit Party Is Officially Coming To Vancouver

Ball Pit Party is bringing their epic event to Vancouver for the first time ever this year. The adults-only, boozy ball pit party will be coming to Vancouver on March 1st. You can already buy tickets for the event on their website. Entrance to the party costs $25. The event will be "an adult wonderland combining the playground filled with balls and our awesome bar serving your favourite cocktails alongside top DJs spinning tunes all day", according to the organizers

Ariana Grande Will Slay At Rogers Arena For Her Sweetener Tour

Joey's Is Opening A New Location With A Waterfront Patio In North Vancouver

Popular restaurant chain JOEY is set to open a brand new location in Vancouver this year and it's going to have a beautiful waterfront patio. JOEY Shipyards will be located at Lonsdale Quay and will have stunning waterfront and skyline views. There will be an outdoor patio and two levels. It was originally intended to open in 2018 but now it's set to open this year.

Shawn Mendes Is Coming To Rogers Arena For His Epic Headlining Tour

We cannot wait for this Canadian sweetheart to grace Vancouver. Shawn Mendes is bringing his headlining tour to the city and will be performing at Rogers Arena on June 14th. You can already buy tickets online. "Shawn Mendes: The Tour" will be the singer's third global headline tour.

A Harry Potter Themed Wizards Brunch Is Finally Coming To Vancouver

A Harry Potter themed brunch and dinner is coming to Vancouver for the first time and it looks absolutely magical. The Wizard's Brunch is coming on Saturday, February 9 and you can already buy tickets online and secure your spot at this one of a kind dining experience in Vancouver. The event will take place at the Vancouver Convention Centre and there are two dining options: brunch or dinner. There's also an after dinner event for Saturday from 10:30 PM until 1 AM and it is only for those over 19.

Popular Taiwanese Hot-Star Large Fried Chicken Chain Is Opening Its First Vancouver Location

This popular Taiwanese fried chicken chain is expected to bring their famous XXL fried chicken to Vancouver for the first time this year. Hot-Star Large Fried Chicken is not only opening one but two Vancouver locations. One will be at 566 Granville Street in downtown Vancouver and the other is going to be located in Richmond. They have already opened locations throughout Ontario and in Montreal. The exact opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned.

Vancouver's First Legally Licensed Cannabis Store Is Opening 

It's been almost three months since weed was legalized in Canada, and it's only now that Vancouver is getting its first provincially licensed cannabis store. Evergreen Cannabis will be opening this Saturday on January 5th at 11 AM and their regular hours are daily from 11 AM to 8 PM. The store is located in Kitsilano at 2868 West 4th Avenue.

Former First Lady Michelle Obama Will Take Over Rogers Arena

The Former First Lady of the United States will be gracing Vancouver for BECOMING: An Intimate Conversation with Michelle Obama. The event will take place at Rogers Arena on March 21st. It is in support of her memoir, Becoming. Tickets are already available online

Dine Out Vancouver

Dine Out Vancouver is an annual hit for Vancouverites. It is Canada's largest food and drink festival and this year, it takes place from January 18th to February 3rd. Although the event itself is not new, it is bringing a completely new feature for 2019 and it is a gamechanger. For 2019, Dine Out now has added brunch and lunch options. Previously, there were only dinner offerings. Set menus will be priced at $15, $25, $35 and $45 per person, plus beverages, taxes, and gratuity. The full lineup of participating restaurants will be announced on Thursday, January 10th but you can already buy event tickets online
