It's that time of year again. Time to bust out your floatation devices and look for a lazy river to go tubing on with your squad.

But guess what, we've done the looking for you and we've found the most perfect lazy river in British Columbia! Just about a 4 hr drive from Vancouver is the Penticton river channel over in the Okangan, also known as the Okanagan river channel.

This spot is now one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Okanagan, and the best part, it's completely free (we love free things)!

This river channel was actually built back in the 1950's to control the water flow between Okanagan lake to Skaha lake. Thanks to the builders then, we now have a sick lazy river to float and crack a couple beers on.

No tube? No problem. You can actually rent them at the tube rental shop, Coyote Cruises, at the launch site of the river. Rental tubes costs $6/person.

Tubing down the entire river can take between 3 to 4 hrs. There is a rest stop half way in between on Green Mountain Rd. but make sure you're ready for a couple hours of floaty relaxation.

So what're you waiting for? Tag your friends and let them know they're going on a roadtrip with you to the Okanagan whether you like it or not.
