This Romantic Dessert And Champagne Bar In Vancouver Is Perfect For Date Night

Is this heaven or what?

Sick of going on dates to the same places? There’s a date spot in Gastown that will elevate your typical dinner and movie night. Whether it’s your first date or hundredth, this Vancouver spot will be perfect for the occasion.

Mosquito is a dessert and champagne bar — does that sound like heaven or what? Two amazing things come together for a next level experience you didn't even know existed.

Not only is the desserts and drinks menu on point, but also the atmosphere. The dimly lit restaurant is secretively tucked away along the cobblestone roads of Water Street. Candles light up the dessert bar and the floor to ceiling windows offer a romantic view of the twinkling lights of Gastown.

The desserts here are decadent and divine. Mosquito's upscale sweets will satisfy both the sweet tooth and those who prefer a more savoury flavour profile. They taste as good as they look! But the goodness doesn't stop at the desserts — Mosquito has a wide range of champagne, cocktails, wine and beer for the perfect pairing with your dessert.

Their menu continually evolves with the seasons but is consistently delicious. Currently for their winter menu, they are serving up decadent desserts such as the Thai Basil & Raspberry Chocolate Bar, Candy Cap Mushroom & Praline and Grand Marnier Saffron Crème Brulée.

For those who are not big fans of desserts, Mosquito also has savoury snacks, such as Truffle Oil & Parmesan Popcorn and a Charcuterie Plate.

Mosquito is located on 32 Water Street and is open Wednesday to Sunday from 5 pm to late. They are also open for Afternoon Tea every Sunday from 1 pm to 4 pm.
