Nothing beats a local spot you can head to again and again during the warm (but tragically short) summer months in Vancouver. What better way to celebrate the end of those long, endless, rainy days than to spend the day basking in the warm sunshine?
Located approximately 15 kilometres north of Downtown Squamish and just over an hour's drive from Vancouver, Brohm Lake is a popular swimming spot for both locals and visitors. Squamish is known for its beautiful scenery and nature, and Brohm Lake is one of its best-kept secrets.
Whether your interests lie in swimming, hiking, jumping off tall cliff faces, or even rope-swinging into lakes, this local gem has plenty to offer. With a combination of forest, lake, and rocky nooks to chill out on, Brohm Lake feels like the perfect scenic escape from the city.
The water at Brohm Lake is refreshing, not too deep, and easily accessible from the Sea to Sky Highway, which makes it the perfect location for an all-day summer hangout spot!
To get to Brohm Lake, head north on the Sea to Sky Highway past Alice Lake Provincial Park, and you will see the Cat Lake sign to your right. The Brohm Lake entrance is about a kilometre further north on the left side of the highway. Be sure to get there early in the day as parking is limited, and we can definitely see this local secret being the spot of the summer!
