If you're looking for a fun, festive time in the city, you'll be happy to know that Christmas is making its way to Vancouver very soon. Next month, the Yaletown neighbourhood in Vancouver will be completely transformed into a magical CandyTown.
The annual CandyTown event is back in Vancouver for one day on November 24th from 12 PM to 7 PM. It is a free outdoor Christmas festival and this year marks its seventh run in Vancouver.
At CandyTown, there will be several Christmas themed activities to get you into the festive mood. The streets will be decorated with Christmas lights and candy canes, and there will also be costumed characters and performances.
You can also participate in tons of free activities. There will be free horse carriage rides (in front of the Roundhouse Community Centre), visits with Santa and the Ice Queen, an ice carving demonstration and candy making.
There will be live music, street performers and local artisans. You can get some of your holiday shopping done early at the festival, where local merchants will be set up with unique gifts.
This is Downtown Vancouver’s only free winter festival, so don't miss your chance to see the city transformed into a magical Christmas village. The event will be located on Mainland Street.
