Did you know that Vancouver is frequently listed as one of the top vegan/vegetarian-friendly cities in the world?
Long gone are the days where vegetarian and vegan food would be associated with flavourless salads and vegetables - the food at this particular establishment is so flavourful and exquisitely prepared that even the most avid meat-eaters will be satisfied.
Creativity and vegetable-forward taste come together in the best way at The Acorn Vancouver, we think you’d be missing out if you didn’t pay this spot a visit.
At The Acorn, the plates are not only visually appealing (which always makes food taste better, doesn’t it?), but offer a myriad of flavours based on fresh vegetables and seasonal produce from local farms.
By abandoning predictable vegetarian dishes and pushing the boundaries of vegetarian cuisine, The Acorn offers a totally new experience - you won’t be leaving the restaurant hungry, that’s for sure!
Owned by manager Shira Blustein and chef Brian Skinner, The Acorn sources its produce locally - among the restaurant’s suppliers are East Vancouver’s Fresh Roots Farms, SOLEfood Farm, and Barnston Island Herbs, a testament to how fresh the ingredients are at the restaurant!
The Acorn has been voted for numerous awards here in Vancouver, topping the list of vegetarian and vegan cuisine at 2017’s Vancouver Magazine awards as well as the Georgia Straight. It has also been included in Scout Magazine’s Top 25 Restaurants in Vancouver!
The Acorn is located at 3995 Main St, and is open Tuesday to Thursday from 5:30 PM till 1 AM, Friday & Saturday from 5:30 PM till 2 AM, and Sunday 5:30 PM till midnight.
Veggies for the win!
