You need to see this 55-foot Christmas tree!
This year's biggest Christmas tree lighting festival will take place in Surrey! If you haven't started celebrating the holidays, this is the perfect weekend to kick off the Christmas season. If you don't have plans already, then you need to check out this epic event.
Not only will they be lighting a 55-foot Christmas Tree, The Surrey Tree Lighting Festival will also include nine live performances, four stages, a Christmas market, amusement rides, zip lining, a DJ and more! Oh, and did I mention that Ruth B. a Juno award-winning artist will be headlining the event?
During the day, there will be tons going on including BC Lions signing autographs, a holiday fun zone, road hockey, food trucks and obviously, photos with Santa. In the evening, join the crowd to watch Surrey's mayor officially light up the Christmas tree! This is a sight you won't want to miss!
Don't forget about the main performances in the evening! Ruth B. sings like an angel, and she's from Edmonton - which means we're neighbours. Her soothing voice will be the perfect end to this festive event. She will perform moments after the tree lighting at 6:40 PM.
The event will take place on Saturday, November 25 from 12 PM to 7 PM. The tree lighting ceremony will begin at 630 PM. Admission is free! The event will be located at Surrey City Hall Plaza and Atrium, 13450 104th Avenue in Surrey.
