This locally owned dog sledding company offers a super unique, and authentically PNW experience mushing with their husky pups! The owner of Golden Dog Sled Adventures, Matt Parr rescued his first Alaskan Husky over 10 years ago and it's been true love ever since. I'm positive that if you go mushing with Matt, you will fall in love his team of adorable huskies.
His team is a mix of pure bred Siberian huskies and Alaskan huskies. The owner of the company prides himself on training these beautiful winter dogs in their natural environment, the wilderness! You can even check out their website to see short bios on each husky - they all have different personalities and it's super cute.
You are in the driver's seat when mushing with Golden Dog Sled Adventures. The owner is adamant that this is a hands-on experience. You are free to mush around the mountain range with these adorable pups all afternoon!
This experience is so authentic that they warn you that while mushing in the Columbia Valley mountains you may zip by some wild animals. Apparently, these forests are home to wolves, moose, mountain goats and even the occasional cougar!
