Vancouver is best known for its Coastal Mountains that seem to surround and hug the city, creating a gorgeous backdrop to our city of glass! On a clear day, if you look at the mountains from the city, you'll see a bright white wind turbine peaking out amongst the rolling mountain peaks.
The Eye of the Wind sits at the peak of Grouse Mountain and you can go up inside it for the best views of Vancouver. It's the only wind turbine in the world with a glass-enclosed viewpod that you can visit. You'll get amazing views 360° views—the kind that you thought you could only see from drone photography or from a helicopter!
If you are planning to do the Grouse Grind this Spring and Summer with your friends, then a visit to the top of this insane wind turbine would be the perfect way to treat yourselves to the best views ever. The viewpod is the ultimate backdrop for your travel and outdoor adventure shots and looks amazing in photos!
You can visit The Eye of the Wind at Grouse Mountain year-round for a guided tour. Their Summer season runs from late May to mid-October and admission is $15 and their Winter season from mid-October to late May is $20. Admission does not include mountaintop access.
