Only a 4 hour drive away, this uniquely formed lake is located in Osoyoos in the Okanagan Valley.
The Spotted Lake is rich with several natural minerals, including sodium sulphate, titanium, calcium, silver. The lake was originally known to the Okanagan First Nations People as Klikuk, a sacred medicine lake.
Located along Highway 3, this is the perfect pit stop during a road trip. Simply follow Highway 3 west out of Osoyoos for 10 kilometres.
Please note: please be respectful of this private property, as this site is a cultural and ecologically sensitive area that is part of the South Okanagan Grasslands Protected Area. You can get great views of the lake from the fence viewpoint that protects the area. There is no access to the land that directly surrounds the lake because it sits on private property.
