For those who are gluten intolerant or fully celiac, going out to eat with friends can be a hassle.  Asking the waiter multiple questions about your food is never fun, and many menus don't properly indicate what food is gluten free and what isn't.

In honour of our gluten free friends, we put together a list of delicious foods at some of Halifax's nicest restaurants, all of which are safe for celiacs to enjoy.  Many restaurants are really helpful with making gluten free meals on the spot, but all the dishes we included are listed on the menu as certifiably safe for the gluten intolerant.  Enjoy something more creative than just a side salad next time you go out to eat!
