Take your next camping trip to the next level by reliving your childhood treehouse fantasy in these pimped out cocoon tents hanging all over Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Who needs to book a trip down south when this incredible travel destination exists only a few hours from Halifax?
Parks Canada introduced these unique forest pods as a pilot project during the summer of 2016 to some super positive reviews. Campers are suspended in the cocoon tents six metres off the ground, hanging amongst the trees and listening to waves crash at nearby Ingonish Beach.
Campers must call ahead and rent the pods for the cost of $75 per night, and will get the chance to “hang out” amongst the trees in Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Tents are surprisingly spacious, and sleep two guests comfortably!
The season to rent these incredible cocoons will be starting in July, so be sure to call 902-285-2535 if you're interested in making a reservation because spots will fill up fast.
