Known throughout the province as a popular ski and snowboard destination, Wentworth Valley in the Cobequid Hills of Northwestern Nova Scotia has one of the most incredible fall landscapes in the entire country.  During the current off season, visitors can hike Wentworth’s ski slopes to take in some incredible panoramic views of the surrounding valley, as changing leaves below create sprawling canopies of orange, red and yellow.

Only an hour and a half from Halifax, Wentworth Valley makes for the perfect fall day trip, the region being full of hiking trails and natural wonders to explore.  Try the Wentworth Hostel Trail – a 15km walk through beautiful hardwood hills along old logging roads that will lead you to the gorgeous Wentworth Falls waterfall system!
