The queen of all breakfast foods. If you've never had Eggs Benedict before, you're truly missing out. This delicious breakfast is a combination of ham, poached eggs, english muffin and hollandaise sauce which just can't be done wrong.
Eggs Benedict comes in a variety of different ways, however, my favourite is just the classic American way. If you're looking to steer away from pancakes and give something else a try, promise me you'll try Eggs Benedict. Seriously, you won't be disappointed. So here are 12 best restaurants in Ottawa you need to got o if you really love Eggs Benedict, or if you're willing to change your life.
1. Baker Street Cafe // 385 Richmond Road
Baker Street Cafe is a great place to go for Eggs Benedict. Whether you just want the classic kind or one with spunk, they have all the options for you. They offer a 'A La Montreal Benedict' option which has old fashioned Montreal smoked meat instead of ham.

3. Eggspectation // 171 Bank Street
Eggspectation is the place to be when it comes to Eggs Benedict. They offer it on a waffle instead of english muffin, they have a lobster version and probably whatever else you can think of. Their gourmet eggs benny will leave you craving it for days on end.
4. Jak's Kitchen // 479 Bronson Avenue
If you're looking for a gourmet option, check out Jak's Kitchen. For all the spicy lovers out there, they have an extravagant version that includes jalapeno relish and red pepper coulis. Yum.
5. Cora's // Multiple Locations
Everybody knows and loves Cora's. Their Eggs Benedict is a classic that you must try–it's one of my personal favourites. Not only are their eggs benny amazing, but they have some of the best home fries and fresh fruit which is just a bonus.
6. Wilf & Ada's // 510 Bank Street
Want eggs benny for dinner? Wilf & Ada's can hook that up for you. They have an all-day breakfast menu that is the best thing I've ever heard. They have only a couple of Eggs Benedict options, however, they put all of their effort into making those options incredible.
7. Fraser Cafe // 7 Springfield Road
Fraser Cafe's menu changes frequently, but you can count on them always keeping the Eggs Benedict around. If you're trying to live a healthier lifestyle, this place is perfect because it's served with a side of greens. Your body will thank you and love you at the same time!
8. The Buzz Restaurant // 374 Bank Street
Although they only serve brunch on Sundays, they have a great variety of eggs benny to choose from. If you're feeling fancy AF, you can order the The Buzz Steak Benedict which includes more than you could ever want.
9. The Savoy Brasserie // 334 Richmond Road
The Savoy Brasserie serves brunch, breakfast, lunch AND dinner. Talk about commitment. They have a great selection of Eggs Benedict, and you can get it early in the morning or late in the afternoon.
10. Flapjack's Canadian Diner // 354a Preston Street
Flapjack's Canadian Diner doesn't serve your normal Eggs Benedict. They serve it over pancakes or waffles, which honestly, who would pass up? If you've never been to Flapjack's before, this is definitely a reason to. Branch out and try something different and fall in love.
11. The Wellington Diner // 1385 Wellington Street West
The Wellington Diner also has all-day breakfast, so let's give them a round of applause. Their Eggs Benedict selection is unreal, and you'll for sure have trouble deciding. If you're feeling fancy, I would go for the East Coast Shuffle which includes lobster, avocado, tomato, bacon crumble and house Hollandaise sauce.
12. Il Primo Ristorante // 371 Preston Street
Since Il Primo is an Italian restaurant, of course they had to spice things up a little. You can get the classic Eggs Benedict, or you can skip the hollandaise sauce and get it with tomato sauce instead. Paired with green onion, red peppers and black olives, you'll feel like you're eating the most delicious pizza ever.
