Ottawa is one of Canada's coolest cities. Any local will tell you that the country's capital is unrivalled when it comes to outdoor adventure, great museums, award-winning restaurants, and varied nightlife.
ByWard Market is, of course, every Ottawan's go-to spot for nights out. Within six blocks you can grab a pint at an Irish pub, sing along to live music and cheer on one of the city’s iconic sports teams at a bar. The ByWard Market is pretty awesome, but if you've been in the national capital for a while, you may be yearning for something different.
The Lac-Leamy Casino, literally right next door to Ottawa, has become the space to check out this summer. Not only does it offer up great spots to eat, drink and play in - but it also happens to host a ton of fun themed nights, too. And let's be honest, what's more fun than themed nights?!
You'll want to break out your best pin-up outfits for this one, because Casino Lac-Leamy is holding 1950s themed party nights this summer. Oh, and some more good news? During the weekend of July 5 - 7, there'll be something very special going down at the ByWard Market, presented by the Casino Lac-Leamy!
Coming to the casino from Thursdays - Saturdays between June 28 until July 21, though, will have you taking part part in rock 'n' roll bowling, a retro photo booth, 50s music, and a rockabilly vibe. There'll even be themed cocktails, too!
More into fluorescent leg warmers, headbands, and high-cut, thigh-hugging French leotards? Try out Casino Lac-Leamy's 80s party instead.
Running from July 26 until August 25, this themed night will transport you back in time with 80s hits, a retro photo booth, video clip parties (where video clips will be projected on giant screens), and retro arcade games like Pac Man Battle Royale and Space Invaders. Need some outfit inspiration? Think fluorescent clothing, big hair, laser effects and new wave music. Or, better yet, think the epitome of the 80s: Jane Fonda.
With multi-day themed nights going on at Lac-Leamy, you may want to consider spending a night (or two!) to really get the most out of what these parties offer.
