Sorry mom, I can't go to school today. Other plans. A different kind of school.
Ottawa is #blessed this year when it comes to cute, new places opening up in the city. We're definitely not slacking when it comes to delicious ice cream spots, but we are lacking when it comes to a certain kind of ice cream dessert. And that's sundaes.
However, thanks to Sundae School that just opened up last month, I think we have everything we'll ever need. Okay, maybe that's a little much but you get what I'm saying. Sundae School is a sundae shop that opened up in May, and just as you would assume, it's like going back to elementary school. Not only is the shop designed to look like a retro classroom with blackboards on the wall, but the menu is designed to bring you right back to your childhood.
Without giving too much detail on what's in them, here are the amazing names of the sundaes you can get your hands on:
- Recess Pieces
- Chalk-olate Board
- Class Clown
- Pep Rally
- Pop Quiz
- Snow Day
- Class Pet
If these names don't draw you in, I don't know what will. Sundae School is the kind of place that we need more of in Ottawa. A fun, lowkey environment that is all about the experience. And of course, the sugar doesn't hurt. Too much sugar was frowned up when we were kids, and now, it's encouraged at Sundae School. Amazing.
Sundae School is located at 222 Beechwood Avenue, and they're open 7 days a week. For more information, check out their website.
