As we all know, coffee shops in Ottawa are a sacred and huge part of Ottawa. No matter what part of the city you're in, you'll find some adorable coffee shop that will become your new favourite. Whether it's downtown, Barrhaven, or Stittsville in this case, the city is beaming with amazing and unique coffee shops.
I don't think anyone would describe Stittsville as being trendy. It's not the go-to place to hang out, and I swear everyones grandparents live there. However, put Quitters Coffee into the equation and suddenly Stittsville becomes a loooot more trendy than before.
Quitters Coffee opened in 2014, and it wasn't opened by just anyone. Kathleen Edwards, who is a Canadian singer-songwriter, opened this coffee shop after she announced on her Facebook page in 2014 that she didn't want to make music anymore. After that, she opened the coffee shop in her hometown and it's been a huge hit ever since.
Quitters Coffee gives off a woodsy, simple vibe that definitely makes people feel at home. While Edwards bakes muffins and greets customers like she wasn't a successful artist, they have a ton of other delicious food options and of course, coffee.
From breakfast sandwiches to cookies to unreal lattes, Quitters Coffee is a great place to study, hang out with friends, or even just to get away and have time to yourself. Although it's located in Stittsville, it gets you out of the city and lets you discover one of the best coffee shops Ottawa has to offer.
Quitters Coffee also has events which include trivia nights and they even held a New Years Eve party this past year. If you're visiting in the colder months, they offer soup every single day. And if you're visiting in the warmer months, there is a truck right behind Quitters Coffee named Redd's Ice Cream sells ice cream! Seriously, could this get any better?
Quitters Coffee is located at 1523 Main Street South and the hours vary. If you're looking to stop by for a quick coffee, sandwich, or even just need an afternoon pick me up, this is the place! You won't regret travelling to Stittsville to check out this hidden gem. For more information, check out their website here.
