It's September and we're already worried about the snowstorms that will occur this winter. Typical Ottawans. But let's face it, we hate the winter just as much as we love the summer. But it's one extreme to another and it's hard to find that balance of the perfect weather in Ottawa.

I know what you're thinking, are we already talking about the snowstorms that haven't occurred yet? Yes, yes we are. According to's predictions, Ottawa is free from a snowstorm from the furthest into the future you can check the weather. The only sort of snow we'll seem to get for a while is a few flurries, which I'm sure everyone is A-OK with. Their calendar shows that the first official snowfall will be on November 10th, but again, only a few flurries.

For us Ottawans this is a breath of fresh air considering we're all worried about snow falling as soon as September hits. Of course this site isn't 100% accurate, but the site states that on November 22nd we'll have a mix of flurries and then our first real snowfall. Other than that, up until the last date you can check (which is December 14th), we shouldn't see any more than a few inches of snow on the ground.

Although this is all great news, I'm not sure if we'll have +16 degree weather on Christmas Eve and Christmas like we did last year. We definitely won't have to dust off our winter coats anytime soon, but let's pray we don't pay for the lack of snow later on in the year.
