Summer is the time to eat all the ice cream that you can because once winter rolls around, the thought of enjoying a cone doesn't sound as great. With hot and sunny weather there is no better way to completely cool off this summer than by indulging in a delicious ice cream. Whether you're someone that likes chocolate or strawberry or simply vanilla, there are so many different flavours you can try at this fun festival.
Ottawa is home to a ton of places where you an enjoy a yummy ice cream, but going to a festival is 100 times better. This festival has so many different fun activities you can do and different things you can learn!
The Canada Agriculture and Food Museum will be hosting Ottawa's very own Ice Cream Festival. While at the festival you will learn about how ice cream is created, from start to finish. You will help make ice cream with an old-fashioned manual ice cream maker and then taste what your hard work has created. At the festival you can teleport back to the 1950s to discover the history of ice cream scoops as well as of sundaes, including a sample of this delicious treat (bless).
All day long there will be so many activities you can do. Some super fun things include ice cream making, ice cream sundae tasting, cone making demonstration, afternoon milking, and ice cream bread making. All of these things are sure to leave all ice cream lovers feeling right at home!
Of course there will be a ton of ice cream vendors you can try while at the festival. Whether you like soft serve or scooped there will be something for you. Some of the many vendors going are:

Make your way to the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum (901 Prince of Wales Drive) on July 15th from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm for a fun filled day.
