How is it already November?! I think we say that for every month of the year, but seriously, this is insane. 2018 will soon be making it's way into our lives and that's crazy. But that means you only have two more months to do everything you've said you wanted to do in 2017... and haven't. Because same.

Except the last two months out of the year should be filled with holiday and winter things. You can't miss out on skating on the Rideau Canal because you're too busy eating ice cream that you missed out on during summer. It just doesn't work that way!

So, Ottawa. You need to make these two months count! Clear your schedules and do at least a few things on this list. You won't regret it. You'll have so much fun, feel all of the feels and get some lit Instagram pictures out of it. Enjoy!

Sens Rink of Dreams // 110 Laurier Ave W

Opens December 2nd

This rink is just as cool as the Rideau Canal, except in a different way. Located at Ottawa City Hall, Sens Rink of Dreams includes LED lighting and a heated change room. It's perfect for a date night with your bae or BFFs! It's 12,500 square foot, so don't worry about it being too busy.

105th Grey Cup // TD Place

November 26th

Even though it's yet to be determined which teams will be battling out for the Grey Cup, it is taking place here in Ottawa which is so exciting in itself. The Ottawa REDBLACKS won last year, so us Ottawans will be cheering on our team no matter what! Also, performing at the the halftime show is Shania Twain, and you definitely can't miss that. Whether you already have tickets to the sold out game or you're watching on TV, either way is so fun.

Nordik Spa-Nature // 16 Chemin Nordik

Open year-round

Maybe you've had a rough year and one of the things on your bucket list is to treat yourself. This is the place to do it! From pools, to saunas, to massages, you'll find everything you need at Nordik Spa-Nature. But seriously, putting this on your bucket list is self care and 2018 should be all about that.

Magic of Lights // Wesley Clover Parks

November 17th to January 6th

Grab your aux cords, because this is lit! Magic of Lights is a 2km road of vibrant LED lights, which transfers from light displays to an 100 metre tunnel of lights at the end. While driving under the tunnel, you're surrounded by lights and it honestly feels like you're in a movie. This is 100% something you cannot miss this holiday season. I mean, even looking at the pictures gives me heart eyes!

From simple to intense, you'll want to try all of their drinks. And believe me, you'll love all of them.

Christmas Lights Across Canada // Parliament Hill

December 7th to January 7th

This stunning light show on Parliament Hill has been running for 33 years, and it's still just as mesmerizing as always. This is one of Ottawa's favourite holiday traditions, as thousands gather to see about 400,000 lights placed on the Parliament Buildings. If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend it being on your bucket list this year!

Lansdowne Christmas Market // Aberdeen Pavilion

Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from December 2nd to December 18th

This is one of Ottawa's largest Christmas markets, and for a good reason. The market gets you into the holiday spirit, while shopping for anything you need for the holidays. Only open on weekends, the Lansdowne Christmas Market grand opening will start by mayor Jim Watson lighting one of the tallest Christmas trees in Ottawa on December 2nd. And if it's anything like the tree last year, then it will be stunning.

Taffy Lane // Orleans

December 1st

Residents on Taffy Lane don't mess around when it comes to Christmas decorations. If your neighbourhood doesn't even put up Christmas lights, then take a drive down this street and see what it would really be like to live inside a holiday movie. There's no other way to put it than this is like Christmas on crack, but in the best way possible. I mean, Taffy Lane just sounds like it's out of a Christmas movie!

Mer Bleue Conservation Area // Ridge Rd

Open year-round

This spot is prime if you just need to clear your head and be out in nature. If you're an animal lover, this is also a great place for you. Birds aren't scared at Mer Bleue Conservation Area, and will land right on your hand if there's bird food on it. If you haven't been here yet and love to be out in nature, put this on your bucket list before it gets a little too cold to enjoy!

Moody smores tarts with a lonely cup of latte☕️

Happy Goat Coffee Co. // 35 Rue Laurel St

Open year-round

I mean, can we talk about this s'more treat and latte art? Maybe you're more of a low key person who likes to snuggle up with a warm drink when the weather gets cold. That's totally cool too! You could also grab a drink here and take it to one of these festivities and kill two birds with one stone!

Alight at Night // Upper Canada Village

Upper Canada Village turns into an amazing holiday village, which makes you feel like you're in every holiday movie ever. Just a 45 minute drive from Ottawa, this small village is decked out in almost 1 million lights. With Christmas music playing all around, holiday snacks and carollers, you'll want to live here all year round (not possible, but we can all dream).
