Canada's Largest Hot Air Balloon Festival Is Happening Near Ottawa This Fall

The skies will be filled with hot air balloons!

The skies will be filled with stunning hot air balloons next week. This year is the 31st Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival which takes place from August 30 to September 3rd at Parc de la Baie.

According to Ottawa Tourism, the Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival is the largest hot air balloon festival in Canada and one you won't want to miss. There will be 3 stages for concerts and comedy shows. During the festival you'll have the chance to watch the hot air balloons liftoff, and if you want you can book a ride on one of the balloons! Prices for a hot air balloon ride are $249 a person.

In addition to the stage performances and hot air balloons, there will be tons of other activities to try. This year there will be a rock climbing wall, escape rooms, a graffiti contest, a vintage arcade room, silent DJ, skateboarding lessons, amusement rides, morning yoga, an exhibition of classic and modified cards and a fireworks show! If you visit at night you'll also have the opportunity to watch the nighttime liftoff of the hot air balloons where they will glow in the night sky.
