Summer is the season of festivals and there have been so many so far! From a hugeto a fun , the summer festival season is in full swing. Food festivals have to be one of the most fun to head to cause you get to choose from a wide variety of different things to eat.
Ottawa is pretty lucky when it comes to food festivals. Every year we get a huge poutine festival which is always unreal. This year we are getting the amazing rib festival once again. It comes around every year and each year it gets better and better!
Capital Ribfest will be at City Hall once again this summer. This year will be the biggest Capital Ribfest yet. The festival will have a live performance stage featuring Ottawa's best musicians all weekend long. There will be a Craft Beer Gardens (by award winning Broadhead Beer to pair with your favourite ribs, chicken or pulled pork). Plus there will be a demonstration booth where you can learn the best tips and tricks on how to make your barbecue perfect!
To make this festival even better, it's completely free to enter! During the summer we always spend so much money on dinner, ice cream, and waterparks. This rib festival is free to enter and all you need to pay for is the food. A full rack is $25, Chicken and Pulled Pork is $15, Half a Rack is $13, Half a Chicken is $12, and a Big Platter (includes: Half Rack, Quarter Chicken, Pulled Pork, Beans, Potatoes) is $28.
There will be many vendors at the rib festival. No matter what kind of meat you want, this festival will for sure have it. The festival will also have Fresh Lemonade, Deep Fried Sweets, Golden Onion, Mini Donuts, Ice Cream, Corn Dogs, and a Candyland. Some of the best vendors coming to the festival are:
