Now this is a festival for everyone that loves cheese (so pretty much everyone). Cheese curds are a part of so many Canadian's lives. From the moment you eat your first poutine the love just blossoms. Honestly, the best part of eating a poutine is the moments where you have a delicious melted cheese curd at the end of your fork.
There are so many festivals happening in Ottawa this summer. From the massive vegan festival that just past to Bluesfest music festival that's just around the corner, the festivals are truly endless during the summer. In these next three months there are so many festivals that you can go to week after week! Well now it's time to head to one of the best of all, a huge cheese curd festival.
Festival de la Curd (The Curd Festival) is happening just outside of Ottawa this summer and you seriously can't miss it. This year will be the 25th edition of the festival and we are so excited. The Curd Festival is presented by the St-Albert Co-op in collaboration with the Canadian Dairy Farmers. The festival has different activities through the day and everywhere you go will have delicious free cheese curds!
Whether you go with your friends or your family, this festival is perfect for everyone. If you're someone that absolutely loves cheese, you need to add this to your summer bucket list. The Curd Festival will only be 40 minutes outside of Ottawa and it's definitely worth the drive.
The Curd Festival will have so many different activities you can do. So no matter who you go with you are in for a real treat. Some of the activities at The Curd Festival are:
