Ugh, bye summer diet.
In Toronto word travels quick, especially when it’s about the up and coming restaurants in the city. The city is full of foodies that are quick to rave about their newest discoveries, but are all of these places really worth the hype? This is a list of 13 restaurants that live up to all the hype. These awesome spots deserve all the Instagrams, line ups, and tweets because they are just that delicious. Be sure to try out some of the amazing dishes these restaurants have to offer!
1. The Grand Electric // 1330 Queen St W.
Many people are quick to say that these are some of the best tacos in the city, which they definitely are! These tacos are jam packed with super fresh ingredients that put them above many other tacos joints in the city.
2. Hanmoto // 2 Lakeview Ave.
This restaurant has a small but mouthwatering menu. Hanmoto is known for their delicious Dyno Wings, so be sure to try them when you get the chance!

3. Khao San Road // 785 Queen St W.
Luckily this place does not take reservations, because if they did they would be booked up for years. This is easily some of the best Thai in the city, and as an added bonus the portions are very generous.
4. Seven Lives // 69 Kensington Ave.
Cheap tacos, and great quality. As simple as that, and 100% worth every bit of hype!
5. Bar Raval // 505 College St
Bar Raval lives up to the hype with atmosphere and architecture alone. Not only is this restaurant beautiful, but it is also incredibly delicious with very attentive staff.
6. Miku // 10 Bay St #105
The presentation is incredible at Miku which definitely makes it some of the most Instagram-worthy food in the city! The food is just as delicious as it looks, and staff are always quick to make great recommendations.
7. North of Brooklyn // 650.5 Queen St W. & others
This pizza is super tasty and reasonably priced! It's an added bonus that you can either buy by the slice or buy an entire pizza, it's not often that you can get this fresh of ingredients for so cheap!

8. Rock Lobster // 538 Queen St W.
Rock Lobster is home to some of the best seafood in the city. Their caesars put them on the map in Toronto, but how could they not when they are garnished with a giant lobster tail?
9. Old School // 800 Dundas St W.
Although the typical 30 minute wait may seem excessive for a breakfast place, Old School is completely worth it. Their pancakes stacks are very popular, along with the chicken and waffles!
10. Buca // 604 King St W.
Buca is nothing short of incredible. If you like Italian food and are looking for a new favourite restaurant, this is the place for you. All the dishes are full of flavour and creativity, making this spot completely worth the hype!
