Once the weather finally heats up in the city and the sun peaks out from behind those gloomy clouds we've been staring at all winter, fruity drinks become all the rage. I don't know about you guys but once spring and summer roll around sangria is about all I want to drink.
There's something about the mix of wine, juice, and fruits that puts sangria in a league of it's own. No other drink can compete with sangria in the spring and summer months, they just can't!
In the next couple weeks we can expect the weather to really heat up which means sangria is officially on the menu. Use this article as a bucket list for all the top spots in the city that serve amazing sangria for you and your BFFs to try!
14. Bistro 422
Where: 422 College St // Harbord Village
Bistro 422 is known for serving some of the cheapest pitchers of sangria in the entire city! On Wednesday nights they offer a sangria special which is an entire pitcher for just $11. That's almost the cost of one drink but you get an entire pitcher!

Playa Cabana is a casual spot that serves up tacos, burritos and other authentic Mexican eats. They also make delicious authentic Spanish sangria in all kinds of yummy flavours! Once the weather warms up they open their sunny patio which is super cute and fun for a dinner out.

Patria is an authentic Spanish Tapas restaurant so you know they're going to have some of the best sangria in the city. You can choose between a glass or jug of their white, red or Sopresa which is a Rose Cava sangria!
11. Barsa Taberna
Where: 26 Market St // Old Toronto
The specialty at this Spanish Tapas spot is definitely sangria. They make a white, red and cava sangria that is super fresh, fruity and delicious! It's the perfect spot for a romantic date night or a fun dinner out with friends.

Another top spot for cheap sangria in the city is found at Pour Boy. You can get a pint of red or white sangria for just $6.75 or a 1.5 L pitcher for just $18.75! That's an awesome deal for a sunny spring day when you want to split a giant pitcher of this fruity drink with your friends.

Sky Yard is a year-round rooftop patio at the beautiful Drake Hotel in one of the coolest areas of Toronto. They have a cocktail bar serving up delicious sangria and heaters to keep you warm on the colder days while you gaze up at the stars in this open-air bar!

Where: 101 Portland St // King West
Gusto 101 is an all around amazing restaurant and one of my favourite in the city. They have a sun upper and lower level patio in the warmer months, serve delicious Italian food and have a great drink menu! They serve their house sangria by the glass or the pitcher.
